If you've been trying to lose tummy fat by jogging for hours, following fad diets or taking so-called "miracle" pills then it's time you learn the truth. You probably know by now that none of these things actually work to help you burn fat and lose weight. And if you do get results they are largely temporary.

Even if you combine all three of these supposed weight loss cures, you still won't reap the results you'll see from the healthy way of exercising and losing weight. Not only that but you'll see more results from less work and stay much healthier in the process. Here's 10 tips to keep you on the healthy track to lose that tummy fat and get tight abs.

Tip #1 - Get Off The Fad Diet

Our bodies need a healthy balance of all three macro-nutrients found in our food supply. Carbs, fat, and protein are all very necessary to keep our body functioning properly. If you cut out the carbs, then you'll never have any energy and you'll lose mostly water weight (which doesn't make you look much thinner). Cut out the fat and you'll never feel full, and the hormones in your body will become unbalanced and may stop your body from losing any fat at all.

Tip #2 - Start Eating Healthy

Instead of trying to follow some shortcut diet that is advertised, focus on only eating food that is healthy for you. This will be 10x better for your body and this is something that you can learn to live with. So it can become a way of life instead of a couple month "challenge."

To determine if a food is good or bad for you focus on this one thing: processing. The more natural and whole a food is, the better it will be for your body. One of the fastest ways to lose tummy fat is to cut all the refined sugars and flour out of your diet. Instead replace them will fruit, veggies, and meats that will fuel your body much more efficiently.

Tip #3 - Dish Up A Smaller Portion Size

Most people just eat way too much at each meal. If you have a habit of getting the biggest plate in your house and filling it with food then you'll need to work on this. Start grabbing the small plates and using them as your dinner plate instead. This will keep the amount of food on your plate a bit smaller, encouraging you to eat less.

Your stomach is really only about as big as your fist. This may surprise you because you probably know that you can eat a lot more than a 'fist full.' The trick is to eat until you're satisfied, instead of going way pass that and getting so full that you feel like sleeping.

Tip #4 - Eat More Frequently Through The Day

If you stick to a smaller portion size, you will be forced to eat more often throughout the day. This is actually the ideal way to eat. The traditional 3 meals a day really isn't all that healthy since it trains us to eat more than we should so we don't get hungry until the next meal.

To lose tummy fat quickly, start eating 5-6 meals per day that are smaller and only about a fist size of food then your body will have a consistent source of fuel. Plus it will be easier to avoid over eating (which greatly promotes fat gain) since you'll know that you don't have to last 6 hours until your next meal.

Tip #5 - Do Sprints Instead Of Slow Jogging

Most people think that the best way to lose tummy fat is to get on the treadmill every day of the week and jog for an hour or more. If you've fallen into this trap then this will be your wake up call. Jogging at a moderate pace for an hour is fairly unhealthy for your body, plus it won't burn near the calories (overall) as a good sprinting workout. Moderate exercise for an extended period of time actually increases free radicals in your body and is hard on your joints. Plus it actually doesn't strengthen your heart hardly at all.

Start doing sprints instead of your usual jogging and you'll reap a couple benefits. First, you'll spend a lot less time working out. You can get a better workout sprinting for 20-30 minutes than you can jogging for 1-2 hours. Second, your metabolism will increase for 1-2 days after your workout because of the high strain your put on your muscles. And third, the stop and go action of sprinting doesn't slowly wear down your joints and will strengthen your heart greatly.

Tip #6 - Start Lifting Weights

Along with sprinting if you start lifting weights you will lose tummy fat even faster. When you do an intense weight lifting workout a couple times per week, your metabolism will greatly increase. Not only from the exertion on your muscles during the workout, but your lean muscle mass will increase, which will burn calories for you while you're not working out.

Even women should focus on weight lifting. The biggest myth is that you'll get huge if you even touch a dumbbell or any kind of free weights. The truth is that it's extremely hard (even for men) to bulk up and get big. Plus if you don't lift weights it will be much harder for you to burn the fat since it is so effective.

Tip #7 - Relax!

The last tip is to just calm down and take it easy! If you stress out so much about how you look you can actually become unhealthy and make it much harder for your body to burn off extra fat. It's key to stop focusing on day to day changes and just start using all of these tips in your life. If you make permanent life changes instead of thinking that you have to stick to a plan for 3 months to get somewhere, you'll have infinitely better results.

Ur a genius. I would enjoy having a beer or two with you. Most people these days have no wise sense of intelligence anymore, therefore no good advice. Thanks.
